U2medtek Co., Ltd. (hereinafter U2medtek), a company specializing in medical device development and digital healthcare, and the Smart Healthcare Research Center at Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology (UNIST), have agreed to collaborate on the development of data analytics technologies in the digital healthcare field and the creation of a data ecosystem.
According to UNIST on the 25th, the two institutions plan to carry out empirical research and development in the field of digital healthcare and data analytics technologies, and to use the technologies and data acquired to build and expand a healthcare data ecosystem.
In particular, U2medtek will integrate its healthcare data processing technologies and commercialization platform with the AI-based analytics technologies held by UNIST’s top researchers. They will prioritize the development of a solution for data-driven personalized prevention and management of chronic diseases. Future research will also include the analysis and application of healthcare data across various fields, including genomics.
Cho Hyung-Jun, Director of the Smart Healthcare Research Center at UNIST, said, “UNIST is a leading institution in developing foundational technologies in advanced interdisciplinary fields, and we are continuously expanding our research in smart healthcare.
