| LG Electronics and U2medtek announced on the 27th that they have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to collaborate strategically in the digital healthcare business. |
U2medtek, a spin-off company from Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology (UNIST), will collaborate with LG Electronics to jointly research and develop projects in the digital healthcare sector.
On the 27th, U2medtek announced that it signed an MOU with LG Electronics at its office in Seocho-gu, Seoul, to strengthen strategic cooperation in the digital healthcare business. Through this agreement, the two companies will share technical information related to digital healthcare and work together on research and product development.
U2medtek, a venture company developing diagnostic devices for sinusitis and parathyroid glands, plans to accelerate the development of its own digital healthcare products. Additionally, the two companies aim to lead the domestic digital healthcare market by combining their business foundations and healthcare solutions.
Kim Yang-Seok, CEO of U2medtek, stated, “Through this MOU with LG Electronics, we will become a leader in the digital healthcare solution business, which is currently in the pilot stage. We will expand our business areas and strive to be a model company in the healthcare ecosystem.”
Choi Gyu-Nam, head of the solution business division at LG Electronics, said, “The digital healthcare market has been growing steadily due to the impact of COVID-19. By combining our technologies and core capabilities, we will take the lead in the distribution of various healthcare solutions and expand the scope of cooperation to create synergies with various products.”
