SinusView: A Breakthrough in Sinusitis Diagnosis

SinusView is an innovative diagnostic tool designed to revolutionize sinusitis diagnosis using Near-Infrared (NIR) imaging technology.

Unlike traditonal methods, SinusView provides real-time, radiation-free, and non-invasive imaging, enabling healthcare professionals to diagnose sinus conditions faster and with great accuracy.

Beyond initial diagnosis, SinusView also facilitates follow-up assessment after treatment, enabling clinicians to monitor patient recovery with objective imaging data.

SinusView received Class II medical device certification from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety in Korea and is manufactured at GMP-certified facility.

How SinusView Works
Preparation

Cover the mouthpiece with a disposable wrap before use

Face alignment

Align the face with the device and look directly at the camera

Data capture

Near-infrared light passes through the sinus, capturing multiple optical image within seconds

AI analysis

AI algorithm analyze these images to accurately detect and visualize the condition of the sinus

Personalized report

A customized diagnostic report is automatically generated and displayed in under one minute

Key Features

Radiation-Free

Safe for repeated use, without the exposure to harmful radiation typically associated with CT scans

Real-Time Imaging

Immediate visualization of sinus cavities, allowing for quicker clinical decisions and treatments

Portable & User-Friendly

Compact design that fits easily in clinics, making it highly accessible

Cost-Effective

More affordable than traditional diagnostic tools like CT scans and X-rays

AI-Enhanced Accuracy

Proprietary pattern-recognition algorithm compensates for anatomical variation

Technology

SinusView integrates advanced Near-Infrared (NIR) imaging with proprietary AI algorithms to enable non-invasive and radiation-free visualization of the sinus cavities.

The system captures real-time optical data and converts it into clinically meaningful images, helping physicians make faster and more accurate diagnostic decisions.

Our proprietary algorithm has been further optimized to compensate for individual differences in bone and skin thickness, ensuring consistent performance across diverse patient profiles.

By integrating a new pattern-recognition module into the existing analysis algorithm, SinusView achieves enhanced reproducibility and robustness in diagnostic accuracy.

Clinical Evidence

SinusView has been clinically validated through a hospital-based study conducted by the Department of Otolaryngology at Kosin University College of Medicine in Korea (led by Professor Jae-Hwan Kwon).

  • Study title: Evaluation of the Diagnostic Performance and Clinical Applicability of SinusView Compared with CT Imaging

  • Study period: Apr. 2020 ~ Jan. 2022

  • Enrolled patients: 556 (men: 335, women: 251)

Study confirms that SinusView provides a reliable, radiation-free alternative to conventional CT imaging, supporting its potential for wider clinical adoption and routine use

Clinical Insights

The current methods of X-ray and CT scans have limitations on repeated usage. For X-ray, doctors must consider the patient’s health and risk of excessive exposure to radiation, and it is difficult to schedule a specialist for the procedure every time. CT scans are cost prohibitive and only recommended for serious cases. SinusView can be safely and easily used repeatedly without being cost prohibitive, making it a great alternative to help constantly keep up with patients’ health status.

- ENT Specialist, Seoul

SinusView is very convenient in that it is quicker than X-ray and does not need a doctor to analyse the results. It is especially helpful for paediatric patients. Due to the low test cost, there is little price resistance from patients.

- ENT Specialist, Seoul

Although many common cold patients used to visit family medicine doctors, they are now more inclined to visit ENT clinics instead. This is less to do with any significant difference in practice, but more to do with how the condition is perceived. Being able to use this device could help retain more patients by giving them more confidence in the diagnosis and treatment.
